Depending on your appointment location a travel fee may apply. Travel fees are based on distance between appointment location and my home in Vaughan. There is no travel fee for travel to Vaughan and surrounding area.
I am primarily mobile for appointments. Hair and makeup trial appointments take place at my home in Vaughan, ON (a travel fee applies for trials booked outside of my home).
I only work with top industry brands and find that each brand specializes in different products. Charlotte Tilbury, Make Up For Ever, Tarte, Too Faced, NARS, Laura Mercier, and Mac Cosmetics are just some of the brands stocked in my kit.
Touchups are available for the bride, bridal party and anyone else who had their hair/makeup done by us. An artist can either meet you at your photo location or reception venue for touchups. Touchups are charged on an hourly basis.
It typically takes about 45 minutes per service on average (1.5 hours for hair and makeup combined).
I provide hair and makeup services for all your personal and professional needs! From weddings to galas to business photoshoots – hair and makeup services are available for all occasions,
No – I’m happy to work with other artists of your choosing if you prefer I only provide either hair or makeup services.
Absolutely – I service all group sizes and bring additional professional artists with me for larger groups.
You can definitely do your own hair and makeup for your own wedding! However, with the busyness and excitement of the day, many women find they’re not able to focus well enough to do their hair/makeup to the level they want and prefer to have a professional execute their vision for them. A professional HMUA will also have knowledge on styling for professional cameras and flashes – and ensure that you look just as beautiful in photos as you do in person. Plus, who doesn’t love a little pampering?
Trials
Trial pricing is based on a single hair/makeup style. There is the opportunity to tweak this still, but if you want to try out more than one look please let me know when booking the appointment so I can factor in extra time (additional charges apply for multiple looks).
I love trials! The goal of the trial is to determine your bridal beauty style. Together we’ll look at your inspirational photos, your dress and discuss your overall vision for your wedding. I’m happy to make suggestions and tweaks based on your hair and skin type so that the style is unique to you and your wedding day. You also receive a full hair style/makeup application. After the trial I send you an email with a few digital photos of the final look and a breakdown of what we discussed, details of what we did and products used and any tweaks/changes we decided to make. This makes getting you ready on your wedding day stress-free!
If you are unsure of whether my services are right for you than I recommend scheduling your trial before booking. If you want to schedule your trial after you confirm your booking with me than I recommend scheduling it on a day that you have an event to attend or need to look a little more glammed up (your bridal shower or engagement photos are perfect for this). This gives you the chance to wear the makeup and hairstyle for a longer period of time to see how it wears and even get others’ opinion on it – if that is something that you want.
Trials are completely optional but I do highly recommend them for brides. A trial gives us the chance to meet, discuss your bridal beauty vision and customize a look perfect for your special day. It also gives you the chance to try out the look before hand and see if it’s right for you.
Booking
There is a 4-service minimum for Saturday bookings during busier months (April through October) although some exceptions can apply. For appointments Sunday-Friday there is no minimum.
First off, great! If you haven’t already done your trial and are interested in one I would recommend booking a date and to start gathering photos of styles you like. I’m happy to help you along the way with any questions you or your bridal party members may have, make suggestions in style choices – so please feel free to contact me. Also, you can start prepping your hair and skin for your big day. If you’re looking for ideas on changing your beauty routine or just curious as to when to book certain beauty services (ie. hair cuts, waxing, etc.) please click here for suggestions on a bridal beauty timeline.
I recommend booking as soon as you know that you want to use my services! Brides are securing their hair and makeup artists 12-18 months in advance so the earlier you book the more likely your date will be available.
Your final details and numbers are due two weeks’ before your wedding date. After that date I kindly ask that your numbers no longer decrease.
You can put a tentative hold on a date without commitment but bookings are only confirmed once a deposit and signed booking agreement are received. In the event you have a date on hold (without commitment) and another client wants to book you will have a 24-hour right of first refusal to either confirm the date or release the hold.
In order to confirm your booking I ask for a booking agreement to be signed along with a small deposit. These only confirm the appointment date and approximate timing – you are still welcome to add/remove guests up to a couple of weeks before the appointment without any penalties.
